Jacob Derwig, celebrated actor with Toneelgroep Amsterdam and well known for his roles in countless films and television series, is to direct his first play for Toneelgroep Amsterdam 2. His choice fell on Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Kat op een heet zinken dak) by Tennessee Williams. He penned a new translation of Williams’ masterpiece together with Kim van Kooten. Directing this ruthless, explosive family drama will be a long-cherished dream come true for Derwig. The cast includes Barry Atsma as the emotionally tormented Brick, Gijs Scholten van Aschat as Big Daddy and Marieke Heebink as Big Mama.
